This foot was made for walking....

I love my sewing machine and all it's different feet. I like my 1/4 inch foot and my 1/4 inch foot with the bar on the right side to keep me within my 1/4 inch seam. I like my open toe foot for machine applique and my zipper foot that I am no longer afraid to use.

Mostly though, I like my walking foot...

Because it allows me to do this....

To this...

I finished this quilt Saturday. It is for my nieces new baby due in June. Her shower is the Sunday after Paducah, so I knew it HAD to be done before I left on the 22nd...

I love the way it got all wrinkled and old looking after washing and drying. Hee Hee, it will look just like the baby...all wrinkled and old looking...hee hee...

Then my sister said "I think she wants a diaper bag to match". UGH!! I don't think I have enough fabric left to make it to match, so guess that means I go back to the store? Or maybe just make her a diaper carry case? Will think about it...

Cause tomorrow's another day....

And today I am too tired to think.....

Happy Sewing,
Nancy

It looks great!

I can't imagine not working with a walking foot...it is one of those must-have-feet.

That is one sweet quilt. I love my feet too all except for my buttonhole foot which I think is faulty cause I've been fighting with it this weekend.

Love how the quilt turned out....too bad you didn't know about the desire for a matching bag long before now. *sigh*

I too like my walking foot and I think I'm about to put it to good use again because I need to make a baby quilt for a shower that's coming up next month.

I don't know what I would do without my walking foot. Especially when sewing on binding. The quilt is so nice. I too love the way they look after washing. And they feel so much nicer. Have a great day Nancy!

Love the quilt. The walking foot is an amazing thing. I made the cross hatch on my Bow Tuck bag and used the walking foot for consistency. I love it!

Nancy, I know what you mean about the feet! Especially that walking foot! Right now I'm in love with my BSR foot. I'm quilting with it right now as I'm finishing up a quilt for my Albertsons manager.

Have I told you how much I love your blog? You are just the best writer! I think that you missed your calling....you could have been another Erma Bombeck! :)
