Shabby Apple Giveaway....

A couple of months ago, I took a full day class at the local Hospice in order to become a volunteer...I knew when we moved that I would need to do something to get out there...and communicate with adults..I could so easily just stay in the sewing room all day...  I mentioned something in passing to my daughter (or did she ask me? can't remember) and I signed up..   Volunteers are always needed to visit with patients.  I asked to be assigned to the office to help with paperwork.  I file, make copies, put together folders and I am sure as the weeks go on, I will learn more projects to keep me busy..

Of course that presents another problem...  I needed clothes.  Clothes that an adult would wear to work.. Clothes that aren't worn out...and that meant I needed to shop..  So one day right before Christmas said daughter and I went and I actually tried on and bought a ton of tops...and one pair of jeans (yes, as a volunteer, I can wear jeans)..

Now comes the tricky part...  accessories..  I have a pair of earrings, a watch and a few rings that Rich has given me over the years...  Yet, I don't have that cute stuff.. those pieces that just make the outfit..

Well, I might have found the buying place....

Last week, Shabby Apple contacted me and asked if I would be interested in giving away a piece of jewelry to my readers...  I was shocked!  I have watched (and entered) giveaways at other blogs, but they were HUGE blogs...with tons of readers...Me?  not a big blog...although I love my faithful readers...

And so I went shopping in their accessories department and picked this...  It was really hard to choose from all the beautiful vintage pieces...

Key to Wonderland
I love the simplicity of this piece...  Anyone can wear this...  And I am GIVING IT AWAY TO ONE OF YOU!!

You can get two chances to win this fabulous necklace...  Leave a separate comment for each entry...

1.  Follow me (or if you already do then just leave a comment that you do)
2.  Go over to Shabby Apple and find an outfit that you think will look perfect with this necklace..(there is NO correct answer!) and leave me a separate comment with the link..
3.  Oh..let's give you three chances...leave me a message and tell me where you shop for work clothes...

And if you can't wait to see if you won...Shabby Apple is offering all of my readers a 10% off coupon that expires in 30 days... Just use threadinhand10off at checkout..

I will draw the winner this Friday Feb 17th,  at noon(ish)...  (someone remind me if I forget!)

Nancy

I have not been compensated for this giveaway...I don't get a necklace, only you have a chance to win! I do however get to use the coupon for 10% off ....  Open to US residents only...no substitutions or exchanges on jewelry..

Hmmmm...I like that necklace with several of the dresses but I keep going back to The Red Queen (in the Mad Hatter collection)and the Ponderosa in the Berkshires collection. (I have very little jewelry, too...but you chose wisely as I think that necklace would go with a lot of outfits!)

Not working right now, so I can't talk about work clothes. I find I buy my clothes at a variety of places.....even Walmart and K-Mart AND I also check out thrift shops and have gotten some nice things in them! We have outlet shopping centers near us and I also make sure I check them out for when prices are really good (which isn't always the case)......the Coldwater Creek outlet...Old Navy.....and Vanity Fair are the ones I seem to look in the most.

I found several, 4.0 from the academia collection would show off that necklace nicely!

I don't have to shop for work clothes, thankfully, but I do like Coldwater Creek for nicer things.

When you say 'work clothes' I am thinking overalls and big work boots!! Since I work in an office, I need to dress up a little, not too much because it would be very uncomfortable for me (no high heels for this gal!!) anyhooo, I shop at Reitman's.

I no longer work outside the home so I don't get to dress up. I really like this Nantucket dress, http://www.shabbyapple.com/p-15-nantucket.aspx

When I worked I usually hit Kohl's and JC Penney's more often than most other stores.

I have been following for a long while but couldn't find me as a follower so I just "re-upped" and now I will look at the Shabby Apple because I Love that Key.

I"shop" very little but when I need something new for my part-time job I always go to Lands End for the pants (stretch cords & 7 day pants in the summer)
These products last and last - or at least that has been the history, of course all things do change. It has been awhile since I ordered. I love stretch waist stuff.

I looked at Shabby Apple and I really loved all the accessories, however I did not find an outfit for me. I am strictly a pants person at this stage. Didn't find any except for some nice excercise things, however I don't excercise in public, so my old stuff will do - :)

I usually shop for work clothes at Coldwater Creek. Especially their online outlet... and especially when everything is an extra 50% off or more (I am very cheap about clothes!).
